This month, Wings for Cats is our featured developer of the month. We spoke with Elliot Kroo, founder of Wings for Cats, to get the scoop.


When was Wings for Cats founded? How big is your team?
Wings for Cats was founded January 2009, and consists of 2 guys: Elliot Kroo, an iPhone developer and Ilya Shaisultanov a top-notch designer.

What inspired your company to develop apps and get into this space initially? What is your company background in mobile?
Both Elliot and Ilya have been involved in iPhone application development since before the AppStore. iPhone apps can reach a huge audience quickly, and are an awesome environment for application development in general.

How is your company funded?
What, you need funding to write iPhone apps? We've bootstrapped from day 1.

What advice do you have for other developers?
Get a full-time designer early on. Beautiful design will make the difference between good software and a great product.
