
2010 was a great year for Greystripe. We grew 5x from 2009 with 50% of this growth coming from campaigns utilizing our proprietary Lighting Technology.
Lightning Technology enables advertisers to create a single ad, using Flash, and deliver it across platforms - including into iPhone, Android and iPad apps and on the mobile web. For devices that do not support Flash, like iPhone and iPad, Lightning Technology seamlessly turns the Flash ad into HTML5. Simple. One ad, across platform, no additional work for advertisers...and it's free.
We expect to run over 1,200 Lightning Powered Flash-based mobile campaigns next year, a 300% increase from 2010. In 2010, we delivered over 300 Flash based mobile ad campaigns, serving billions of ad impressions to 30+ million users.
Major brands such as Buick, Corona, Burger King and Axe have already used Lighting Technology to create cross platform mobile ads and achieved powerful results.
Given the cost efficiency and flexibility of using Flash, advertisers typically prefer to develop creatives in Flash and deliver using Lightning Technology. In fact, although we support both Flash and HTML 5, we have only had one advertiser choose HTML5 over Flash. In 2011, we expect more of the same and predict that advertisers will save $36M in ad development costs using our Lightning Technology versus developing in HTML5.
